Market Background
-
The Czech energy markets have been gradually opening since 2002. From 1 January 2006 all end users have had the right to choose their electricity supplier.
-
Since the market opening, a number of independent suppliers have arisen on the Czech market, but the market remains fairly concentrated. State-controlled Ceske Energeticke Zavody (CEZ) dominates the power sector, holding the majority of the country’s energy supply.
-
Customer switching has been limited, with the most significant switching activity occurring among large industrial consumers. Inenco has extensive experience of working within Europe's opening energy markets, assisting organisations to take advantage of the cost savings made available by switching supplier.
How can Inenco help?
