At Inenco, we have years of experience in assisting organisations to minimise costs in Europe's opening energy markets.

Market Background

  • The Polish energy market has been gradually opening since 2004. From 1st July 2007 all end users obtained the right to purchase electricity form a freely chosen supplier.

  • Since the market liberalisation, the competition among energy suppliers has been progressively increasing, but the market still remains dominated by four major incumbents (PGE, Energa, Enea and Tauron).

  • The share of all end users who have switched supplier since the market opening is very limited and accounts for less than 0.2%, as the procedures still need to be unified and considerably simplified.

The Polish market is becoming more competitive with millions of Euros being invested by independent suppliers. Therefore, it is essential that organisations explore opportunities of pro-active procurement in order to reduce their energy costs.
