Many businesses will be feeling the full effect of the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) this year as the first round of carbon allowance purchases take place. The cost of CRC is estimated at around 8% of energy spend for most organisations.
The price of carbon is fixed and so the only way to reduce the cost of CRC is through effective energy management. Whether you are caught by CRC or not, the long term view is that energy prices, both the commodity itself and the carbon element, are rising and the only way to mitigate those rises is to buy better and use less.
About our Get Switched On: Energy Summit
Get Switched On: Energy Summit is designed to show you how to buy better by using advanced energy procurement techniques and use less energy by adopting effective energy management practices.
