Market Background
-
The liberalisation process of the Spanish electricity and gas markets has been in place for some time now, with all consumers being eligible to choose their suppliers since January 2003.
-
The market continues to open, and as of 1st July 2008, regulated electricity tariffs will be abolished for high voltage customers, followed by low voltage customers on 1st January 2009.
-
Customers who switch supplier before this date will benefit from a tariff based on their current regulated price or lower.
-
Customers who have not switched, however, will automatically be placed on a "last resort" tariff, which is expected to be much higher. With our extensive experience of energy purchasing throughout Europe, Inenco can ensure that your organisation benefits from the cheaper tariffs made available by the liberalisation of the Spanish energy market.
