Providing a housing group with energy well being

Client Name: A Housing Group
A UK based housing group with over 19,000 homes across the North West and Yorkshire supporting independence and well being for some of society's most vulnerable people.

The Challenge

The Housing Group came to Inenco after we identified that they had previously overpaid on their energy and wished to recover costs from their suppliers. Our analysis involved checking the charges raised by third parties to suppliers with those passed onto customers as well as general account-based overcharges.


Our Approach


Firstly, we collected full data reports from their sites to better understand the depth of their energy spend.


We took the collected data and thoroughly analysed it to identify areas where savings could be achieved.


We presented a report of our findings and held a conference call to explain the report and discuss recommended next actions required to realise the savings.


Inenco then approached the suppliers to implement the agreed recommendations.

The Results

We identified savings opportunities from supplier bills and industry charging protocols and reported them to the Housing Group. We then held a teleconference to agree next actions and implemented the actions agreed with the client.

Inenco were able to save the Housing Group £17,400 per annum from our recommended actions and recovered a further £63,000 from incorrect supplier charges.
