A College Group approached Inenco seeking a better way to make energy savings across their portfolio. They wanted to better understand their energy needs and appointed Inenco to deep dive into their current usage and identify any further cost saving opportunities they could make. They also wanted to utilise their current maintenance budget to achieve ‘quick wins’ with their energy consumption and cost reduction aims.
First Inenco assessed the College’s current energy performance to determine their principle energy flows and identify main opportunities for energy savings.
Inenco then scoped out their scale for savings with our experts investigating when and how their energy consumption occurred.
Our experts then conducted an in-depth analysis and uncovered wastage alongside hidden costs for the College.
From this our experts compiled a comprehensive report that highlighted where they could save on their energy consumptions as well as our experts providing practical solutions to drive value. These included lighting upgrades and making changes to control settings of equipment.
Inenco’s Analyse & Act service allowed the College to uncover an additional 18.1% energy saving on campus for both gas and electric against a 2015 baseline which resulted in a £32,725 saving over 11 months.
This saving will continue to grow in the future with ongoing energy awareness campaigns, development of a formal written energy policy, a BMS (Building Management System) upgrade, installation of AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) system, and more. Implementing these measures could achieve the College a saving of circa £138,230K per year across all their sites.
