The client approached Inenco to help with their compliance for ESOS (Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme) Phase 1. As a compulsory requirement, they were on a tight deadline to get their ESOS compliance before December 2015. They wanted to relieve themselves of the scheme’s administrative burden so sought experts in the energy market to handle the intricacies of their sites.
A thorough audit determined their ESOS requirements. Energy consumption right across the business was carefully evaluated using innovative data handling systems alongside tried-and-tested processes to identify areas for improvement.
We supported the client with all necessary administration work associated with their ESOS audit and ensured the submission of accurate information. Through our Analyse & Act service, we then conducted a deep dive analysis to unearth hidden cost and carbon saving opportunities
ESOS notification was submitted in full and on time, to ensure 100% compliance. The client has then subsequently requested to be audited by the Environment Agency. Inenco has supported the client throughout the audit processes and achieved the audit compliance
Following the review of the information for the client, we have proposed initiatives to work with them to reduce energy consumption reduction which has turned into a positive impact to the business and demonstrates sustainability best practice
Through the client’s cost and consumption analysis we were able to realise savings of £12,411 over 15 months and we will expect to at least double this saving by the ESOS Phase 2 deadline. The client was able to pay for their ESOS compliance with the savings they had made through our Analyse & Act service and implementing the actions we recommended in their ESOS report.
While ESOS compliance is a compulsory scheme, Inenco’s Analyse & Act takes you to the next level. Anlayse & Act provides the perfect complement to our ESOS service, boosting the opportunity of compliance and providing you with practical recommendations to help you make significant cost and carbon savings, now and in the future.
