The client came to Inenco looking to reduce their energy costs and consumption over their 53 stores nationwide. They approached Inenco in 2015 looking for a new procurement strategy and support with their ESOS compliance. They wanted to work with an industry expert who they could trust with all their energy requirements.
First, we looked at securing the client with a fixed procurement strategy in order to guarantee their budget levels throughout the contract duration.
Secondly, we supported with their ESOS Phase 1 compliance, to ensure that their reporting was up to date and that it was fully compliant throughout the process.
Inenco also supported with ongoing query management, leasing with suppliers, and ensuring all billing and invoices were correct.
Finally, we looked at their historical billing to identify any discrepancies between the component parts, driving as many savings as possible from the supply chain.
Inenco were able to achieve net savings of £18,285 for the client on their query management, which encompasses any invoice validations or supplier mistakes. We were also able to achieve cost avoidance savings of £7,675 on both their NHH (non-half hourly) and HH (half-hourly) meters from July 2018 due to market movements. Having successfully achieved ESOS Phase 1 compliance for the client, we are now working closely with them to secure their ESOS Phase 2 solution.
