Sustainability's role in post pandemic manufacturing

While the pandemic and the ongoing uncertainty around Brexit may have dominated the airwaves – and boardroom agendas – for the past 12 months, there is another topic that is helping to shape the New Normal: sustainability.

A new Inenco survey, conducted with Manufacturing Management magazine has revealed that sustainability is increasingly shaping business decisions amongst UK manufacturers and helping position their moves to “build back better”. This white paper is aimed at sustainability, procurement, site managers, operations directors – or anyone who’s been tasked with helping their organisation become more environmentally sustainable.

What's in the white paper?

This paper can help guide informed discussions around vision and capabilities to “build back better”.

Key findings from the report include:

  • 92% of manufacturers say sustainability is ‘important’ or ‘very important’ to their operations
  • 39% say that sustainability decisions are being made at a CEO/board level
  • 44% do not have a formal sustainability strategy in place
