IWFM & Inenco Sustainability Survey 2020

2nd October 2020

The findings offer an indication of trends supporting change and the future of sustainability, as well as the key driving factors underpinning the agenda.

The survey has always been one of the UK’s most important evaluations of sustainability and workplace trends, but the unprecedented challenges of 2020 make this year’s findings even more so.

The survey opened for responses in July, several months after the global coronavirus pandemic began to take over our lives. COVID-19 has already tested workplace and facilities management professionals in so many ways and it has naturally shaped the responses we have received in the survey.

What is in the survey?

Even before the global pandemic, the sustainability agenda has moved on significantly in recent years. With the UK government committing the UK to net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, and hundreds of public and private sector businesses declaring climate emergencies, there is a growing need for action.
