Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS)

The ESOS Phase 2 deadline has now passed, but don't panic, we can still help.

Have you missed the ESOS deadline?

Don’t worry, Inenco are still able to help you with a hassle-free route to compliance

The deadline for phase two ESOS reporting closed on December 5th, 2019. If your organisation qualifies but failed to carry out an ESOS audit and submit the results before that date, you could now face large fines for failing to comply.

You may have already received an enforcement notice from the Environment Agency, in which case any further delay could result in a fine of up to £50,000.

For more information give us a call on 08451 46 36 26 and speak to one of our experts.

ESOS case study

FMG, the UK’s leading provider of fleet incident management, asked Inenco to help them with ESOS compliance during Phase 1. Our in-house experts worked with FMG’s internal teams, guiding them through the reporting process and achieving compliance before the deadline.

“Thank you for your support throughout the ESOS process. You have been polite and knowledgeable… efficient when responding to our requests and helpful in explaining this new process.” – Janette Waterhouse, Procurement & Facilities Manager at FMG.

Our Approach

01
Secure a lead assessor

A continuing shortage of approved Lead Assessor could pose a serious threat to businesses according to research commissioned by DECC. Inenco has multiple qualified LA with wide industry experience to suit for your business

02
Identify data gaps and ensure data collection systems are in place

One of the challenges for organisations is the collection of energy data. Starting early, Inenco will be able to help to set up the data management system & smooth the data collection process starting from January 2018

03
Conduct a site audit

The most persistent method of energy cost mitigation is to reduce consumption & manage demand better. ESOS can help you identify the areas that you can improve and we will then help you to create concrete strategies to make these happen

04
ESOS report and evidence pack

We will develop and present recommendations. As UK businesses are subject to an increase of non-commodity costs of around 30% - 40% by 2019 (a total pressure on energy bills of around 15-20%) ESOS recommendations can then be actioned, under instruction, to mitigate the impact of these cost rises
