Helping your organisation to achieve ISO 50001 accreditation.

Helping your organisation to achieve accreditation

ISO 50001 is a global, non-mandatory energy management system. It is possible to be formally audited and become certified to the 50001 standard, showing externally your organisation’s commitment to excellence and corporate responsibility. In addition, accredited sites are exempt from the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS).

Inenco takes a methodical and structured approach to the accreditation process and follows the standard’s guidelines to build a meaningful energy management system for your organisation. We use our wealth of experience to carefully guide clients through the accreditation process, advising the most effective approach at each step. Achieving external accreditation enhances your environmental credentials, helping to set you apart from the competition.

What kind of organisation is this product designed for?

Any organisation can achieve the ISO 50001 standard, but it is particularly relevant to significant energy users or if you are captured by the ESOS legislation.

What information do we need to get started?

  • The number and nature of sites to be accredited – (ISO 50001 can be at company or individual site level)
  • An understanding of any existing accreditations or existing energy/ environmental management systems, specifically ISO 14001.

“ISO50001 is not only a credible standard to state within your CSR policy, it also supports your ESOS obligation with accredited sites being exempt. ”
